Who this workflow is for

The problem

Why not use a generic chatbot?

A chatbot works on text you paste in and returns a block of prose. You still have to read it, restructure it, and build your own cards. This workflow starts from the audio file itself, gives you notes grouped by topic and flashcards made for review, and keeps the recording as the thing to check against. Answering a question is a different task from turning a recording into study material — and it is the task a lecture audio file actually needs.

Speech-to-text can mishear accents, technical terms, formulas, and overlapping speech, and audio alone misses anything shown on screen. Notes and cards are a draft, not a record. What if the audio is noisy or the speaker talks fast?
The AI may mishear technical terms and names. Keep the original recording open and verify anything that looks uncertain before you study from it.
Are the notes and flashcards always accurate?
No. Treat them as a draft, correct errors against the recording, and remove any card the recording does not support.
The lecture had slides and diagrams on screen. What about them?
Audio only captures what is spoken. If the slides carry important detail, keep the original slides or handout alongside the notes and check them together.
