Lernix does not exist to chat with a PDF. Version 2.1.9 stretches that same pipeline to documents that used to be too long to treat as one study unit.
Why long PDFs break most study workflows
Most “ask the PDF” tools are built for lookup, not for remembering. You still have to decide what to memorize, write cards, and assemble a quiz. Dedicated PDF-chat products often cap free use around 60–120 pages per file. Figures commonly cited for typical free tiers are about 120 pages for CxxxPDF and about 60 pages for HuXXta. Paid plans vary. Treat those as typical free-tier page caps, not a snapshot of anyone’s current pricing.
So students split a textbook into fragments, lose chapter context, or paste excerpts into a general chatbot. Assistants such as CxxxGPT and Clxxde can ingest long files for Q&A. What 2.1.9 unlocks
When 2.1.9 ships, you will be able to send a single PDF of up to 500 pages through the same study analysis you already use for shorter files. One upload. One pack. That is the point for a full textbook slice, a semester of lecture slides exported as one PDF, a stack of papers you need to remember, or a scanned pack of handouts that would otherwise become ten separate uploads.
Speed is secondary here. For typical YouTube and file analyses today, the vast majority finish within 8 seconds. We are not claiming that a 500-page PDF will match that. The point of 2.1.9 is the page ceiling, so a long document can become study material instead of a chat log.
A study pack is not chat-with-PDF
Dedicated PDF Q&A answers questions against the file. Useful when you already know what to ask. Weak when the job is “I have to remember this by Friday.” Lernix is built for study, not generic PDF chat: structured notes, flashcards, quizzes, mind maps, Visual Notes, then chat with those notes.
